The City of Springfield led a community-wide process to create a vision and set of goals for the Grant Avenue Corridor.
On Feb. 9, the City presented “The Road Ahead” a Virtual Public Engagement Session focused on what lies ahead in the roadway improvement project and coordinating Grant Avenue Corridor Plan effort.Corridor Planning Event
As an integral part of the development of the city’s Comprehensive Plan update, city staff is also working closely with Forward SGF planning consultants Houseal Lavigne to develop a targeted plan for the Grant Avenue corridor.“It is imperative that we work together with the neighborhoods, business and agencies along this stretch of Grant Avenue throughout this process. Each neighborhood segment has unique needs and character that will give this corridor life and make it 100% Springfield. We cannot call this project a success in the end if this hasn’t impacted the residents’ lives for the better.”
